INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) combined with SmartPulse™ technology, reduces unwanted hair on the face and body. The treatment works by delivering energy to the deeper layers of the skin to target the hair pigment and destroy the follicle. SmartPulse™ technology ensures safe and consistent heat distribution, while a real-time cooling system works to keep your skin protected from the heat.
Treatment length depends on what part of the body is being treated. If it’s a smaller area, it may only take as little as 10-15 minutes. A larger area, like two full legs, may take up to 30 minutes.
6-10 treatments per area is typically recommended. Hair grows in different stages and at different rates depending on the individual being treated.
Treatments can be done at most, every 3 weeks. However, it is suggested 4-6 weeks apart for the face and 4-8 weeks apart for the body.
Little to no downtime! Avoid sun exposure in the area for 3-4 weeks after treatment. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours post treatment before attempting any activity that may excessively increase your body temperature, i.e., hot showers, strenuous exercise.
The day of your treatment, your current hair cycle will be targeted by the treatment. You may notice the stubble hairs look “frazzled” afterwards and the surrounding area may show signs of redness. It will take around 10-18 days before the hair falls out of the successfully damaged follicle. This is when you begin to see results for that hair cycle.
The hair follicles that are successfully damaged will never come back. However, over time the body generates new hair follicles as hormones change. Due to this, maintenance hair removal will need to be done at some point in the future, but the frequency of maintenance is different per person.
